The City Hall of Whitney, Texas serves the citizens of our city with municipal services and hometown flair. Also within the City Hall is the city’s Municipal Court and the office of the city manager. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, closing at lunch from 1:00PM - 2:00PM.

Lake whitney public library
Originally begun in the 60s by local citizen Bess Findley, the public library gained membership with the Central Texas Library System and also became an official Texas State Library in 1989. The Library moved into its new, 6,300-sq.ft. facility in 2014 and services all citizens in both Hill and Bosque Counties.

whitney fire department
The Whitney Fire Department provides all emergency services for the city of Whitney and also neighboring communities should the need arise. Commanded by Fire Chief Wayland Price, this group of first responders operate to serve the needs of those in their time of greatest need. The fire station is located in the same building as City Hall.
